I am so in love with the Fashion Line The Furies! The head designer of of the line Rikke Korff is quoted to have said she designed this line " For Women that Rock to Rock Even Harder." In short she done did it! I happened to find the line in the Amazing Fred Segal. And by the way if you are ever in Santa Monica and stop in ask for Trent! He is totally dreamy... Ahhhh. Meet the Furies

I am not going to front. I have hood roots. I crept late nights in the back seats of coup'de villes with my Street King Pops many nights, in Washington DC. During some of the bloodiest years of the Reagan Era, I experienced some not so nice things. I lived between two worlds with vastly different rules. I respected the hood. I didnt need to live there to understand it was part of me. The rules of the streets, are a code of integrity laid down by survivalists with champagne taste.
I learned very early that if someone earned a title that was their name. Ms. Bootsey used to be hooker, but she owned a salon now. Everyone knew her and she had the respect of the women and men of Hst.NE. This was the backside of Capitol Hill. We had our own rules. The most important of which was, respect the code.
I cant stand that this New Artist Nicki Minaj is disrespecting her predeccessor Lil Kim. What irks me even more is that she looks exactly like Kim. From the crazy couture to her ghetto fabulous hair. She is like one extended look Lil Kim Trashed seasons ago. Nicki Minaj is a Frankenstein.
Whats worse is that this female on female rivalry plays into so many stereotypes. J.Cole and Drake arent snipping at each other and they sound so much alike, in a duet they perform together they have to say each others names to point the difference out. Im not sure if Pharrell and Timbaland get along, but they trade artists like playing cards. Chris Brown calls Usher "The Homey" while pop-locking in Ushers old looks. In a field so small how does Nicki get away with this!
"I guess nobody lives by the code of the street no more" I hate to say, I never saw this comin....
